ผลกระทบของเพศภาวะต่อสุขภาพจิตและแนวคิดเพศภาวะกำหนดนโยบายสุขภาพจิต

เพศภาวะเป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยสังคมกำหนดสุขภาพจิต การพัฒนาแนวปฏิบัติและนโยบายสุขภาพจิตที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนเชิงเพศภาวะได้มีการดำเนินการแล้วในหลายประเทศ บทความวิชาการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ที่บ่งชี้ผลกระทบของเพศภาวะที่มีต่อปัญหาสุขภาพจิตในบุคคลทุกเพศภาวะ ตัวอย่างนโยบายสุขภาพจิตที่ใช้วิถีเพศภาวะ แนวทางการดูแลผู้ที่มีปัญหาสุขภาพจิตที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนเชิงเพศภาวะ และข้อเสนอการพัฒนานโยบายสุขภาพจิตที่คำนึงถึงเพศภาวะ เอกสารที่นำมาทบทวนประกอบด้วย การทบทวนวรรณกรรมอย่างเป็นระบบ ข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบาย และการบูรณาการมโนทัศน์เพศภาวะกับงานสุขภาพจิตทั้งในและต่างประเทศ สรุปข้อเสนอการพัฒนานโยบายสุขภาพจิตที่คำนึงถึงเพศภาวะ ดังนี้ 1) ควรมีการจัดตั้งคณะทำงานส่งเสริมสุขภาพจิตระดับชาติที่นำกรอบแนวคิดเพศภาวะมาบูรณาการกับงานสุขภาพจิตในทุกระดับ 2) สนับสนุนการวิจัยด้านสุขภาพจิตที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนเชิงเพศภาวะตามบริบทไทย 3) พัฒนาฐานข้อมูลสุขภาพจิตที่ตระหนักและให้ทางเลือกในการระบุเพศภาวะ และ 4) บุคลากรที่ปฏิบัติงานด้านสุขภาพจิตควรมีความรอบรู้ในประเด็นเพศภาวะและได้รับการพัฒนาสมรรถนะการดูแลผู้มีปัญหาสุขภาพจิตที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนเชิงเพศภาวะ
