วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับพลวัตความผูกพันทางอารมณ์กับคู่รักของบุคคลที่เคยมีประสบการณ์เลวร้ายในวัยเด็ก
วิธีการ: เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพแบบกรณีศึกษาใช้เวลาเก็บข้อมูล 3 เดือน ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับกรณีศึกษาจำนวน 5 ราย วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบการวิเคราะห์สาระแก่นสาร
ผล: กรณีศึกษาที่มีประสบการณ์เลวร้ายในวัยเด็กจากผู้เลี้ยงดู มีความผูกพันทางอารมณ์ที่ไม่มั่นคงกับผู้เลี้ยงดู กรณีศึกษา 4 ใน 5 ราย ส่งต่อความผูกพันทางอารมณ์ที่ไม่มั่นคงสู่คู่รัก โดยสะท้อนผ่าน ความรู้สึกสับสน ไม่เข้าใจความรู้สึกของตนเองและคู่รัก มีความสงสัยความรักที่คู่รักของตนมอบให้ มักพิสูจน์ความรักที่คู่รักมีต่อตนเอง การแสดงอารมณ์มีทั้งเก็บกดอารมณ์และการระเบิดอารมณ์ใส่คู่รัก รู้สึกไม่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของความสัมพันธ์ และนำไปสู่การยุติความสัมพันธ์บ่อยครั้ง แต่ยังมีกรณีศึกษา 1 ราย ที่พัฒนาความผูกพันทางอารมณ์ที่มั่นคงกับคู่รักได้ ซึ่งปัจจัยที่ส่งผลให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงดังกล่าวได้แก่ ความเข้มแข็งทางจิตใจ ความสามารถในการหาแหล่งทรัพยากรทางใจที่สามารถเข้าถึงได้ การได้รับรู้มุมมองทางบวกของผู้เลี้ยงดูต่อตนเอง รวมถึงได้รับการสนับสนุนทางกายภาพและทางอารมณ์จากคู่รัก
สรุป: ประสบการณ์เลวร้ายในวัยเด็กจากผู้เลี้ยงดูทำให้เกิดความผูกพันทางอารมณ์ที่ไม่มั่นคง ซึ่งสามารถส่งต่อมายังความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคู่รักในวัยผู้ใหญ่ได้ บุคลากรด้านสุขภาพจิตควรให้ความสำคัญในการพูดคุยเกี่ยวกับประสบการณ์เลวร้ายในวัยเด็ก เพื่อวิเคราะห์เชื่อมโยงปัญหาสัมพันธภาพในปัจจุบันและนำไปสู่การวางแผนช่วยเหลือที่เหมาะสมต่อไป
