พฤติกรรมการเล่นเกมคอมพิวเตอร์: ผ่านมุมมองทางชีวจิตสังคม

บทคัดย่อ

          ในปัจจุบันคงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าเกมคอมพิวเตอร์ได้เข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจวัตรประจำวันของเด็กและวัยรุ่นมากขึ้น สะท้อนได้จากสถานการณ์พฤติกรรมการเล่นเกมคอมพิวเตอร์ที่พบว่ามีการใช้เวลาไปกับการเล่นเกมออนไลน์เฉลี่ย 2 ชั่วโมงต่อวัน และเพิ่มเป็น 2 ชั่วโมงครึ่งในวันหยุด1ยังไม่นับการเล่นเกมในระบบออฟไลน์หรือการเล่มผ่านสมาร์ทโฟน แท็ปเล็ต หรืออุปกรณ์การเล่นเกมรูปแบบต่างๆ ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากธรรมชาติของเกมคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ได้มอบความสนุกสนาน  ความอิสระในการควบคุม  การตอบสนองต่อความต้องการ  กระตุ้นความน่าสนใจ และท้าทายความสามารถ ฯลฯ  ซึ่งคุณสมบัติต่างๆเหล่านี้สามารถชักจูงให้ผู้เล่นเกิดความเพลิดเพลินจนอาจพัฒนาไปสู่การเกิดพฤติกรรมการติดเกมได้ เหตุดังกล่าวจึงนำมาสู่การหาแนวทางในการป้องกันหรือมาตรการในการยับยั้งการเล่นเกมคอมพิวเตอร์ให้อยู่ในระดับที่เหมาะสม อย่างไรก็ดีการเล่นเกมคอมพิวเตอร์ก็ได้สร้างประโยชน์มากมายให้กับผู้เล่นไม่ว่าจะเป็นการช่วยพัฒนาทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ การตัดสินใจ การแก้ไขปัญหา ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ การเกิดพฤติกรรมด้านบวก ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้กับจิตใจทั้งภาคภูมิใจในตนเอง  ความสามารถในการจัดการกับอารมณ์  เป็นต้น2 ดังนั้นประเด็นที่น่าสนใจก็คือสภาวะการเล่นเกมแบบใดที่จะก่อให้เกิดผลลัพธ์ทางบวกและไม่กลายเป็นความหมกมุ่นหรือพฤติกรรมเสพติดจนส่งผลกระทบทางลบต่อคุณภาพชีวิต
