ชีวิตของคนอื่น : ประสบการณ์ชีวิตผู้หญิงม้งที่มีภาวะซึมเศร้า

บทคัดย่อ

          วัตถุประสงค์  เพื่อศึกษาชีวิตของผู้หญิงม้งที่เคยมีประสบการณ์ภาวะซึมเศร้าภายใต้บริบทสังคมวัฒนธรรมชนเผ่าม้งในภาคเหนือของประเทศไทย

          วัสดุและวิธีการ   เป็นการศึกษาเชิงปรากฏการณ์วิทยา  (phenomenology)  ระหว่างเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ – ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๙   วิธีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ การสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วม การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การสนทนากลุ่มและการบันทึกภาคสนาม ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักทั้งสิ้น จำนวน  31 คน  วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหาผ่านมุมมองเชิงเพศภาวะและวัฒนธรรมของชนเผ่าม้ง

          ผล   พบประเด็นและสาระสำคัญของชีวิตผู้หญิงม้งที่มีสถานภาพหลากหลายภายใต้ความคาดหวังและเงื่อนไขของบริบทสังคมวัฒนธรรมชนเผ่าที่มีความเฉพาะ เข้มแข็ง กำกับวิธีคิดและการปฏิบัติต่อผู้หญิง  “ชีวิตของผู้หญิงม้ง คือ ชีวิตที่เป็นของคนอื่น” ได้สะท้อนถึงบทบาทและภาระที่ผู้หญิงม้งต้องแบกรับในทุกช่วงชีวิตส่งผลต่อภาวะสุขภาพจิตของผู้หญิงโดยเฉพาะทำให้เกิดภาวะซึมเศร้าในกลุ่มนี้ ดังนี้ 1) ชีวิตผู้หญิงมีคู่ (คอปู้) 2) ชีวิตแม่หม้าย (ปู้จั่วะ) 3) ชีวิตแม่ร้าง (ปู้จ้าว) 4) ชีวิตลูกสาว (หมีไฉ) และ 5) ชีวิตคนโสด (หลั่วเก้า)

           สรุป    ข้อค้นพบชี้นำว่าจารีตประเพณีดั้งเดิมที่เข้มงวด บทบาทและสถานะที่จำกัดส่งผลทำให้ผู้หญิงม้งเกิดความคับข้องใจและนำสู่ภาวะซึมเศร้า การทำความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับชนเผ่าม้งสามารถนำสู่การพัฒนารูปแบบการให้บริการและการช่วยเหลือดูแลผู้ที่มีภาวะซึมเศร้าที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนเชิงวัฒนธรรมมากขึ้น
