Medical Cannabis Regulations and Implementations of Thailand

Abstract
Thailand has amended the national law on Cannabis for medical purpose allowing patient treatment, further research and development agriculture, commerce, and science or industry. This study was an action research conducting a qualitative study method. These objectives were to study, analyze and develop the suitable guidelines for controlling the Medical Cannabis Scheme in Thailand. The result showed that each country has the similar regulation over access to Cannabis cultivation areas, also including security, prevention and tracking system. Thailand should have standard regulation that consisted of 4 main topics: (1) Plant area requirements (2) Security requirements (3) Storage requirements and (4) Utilization control requirements. This regulation will be used as a basic guideline for licensing precondition and for controlling and preventing of Cannabis misuse.
