Abstract

This study was a case study of a preschool children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) undergoing chemotherapy with febrile neutropenia.  This study aimed to study disease progression and nursing guidelines for preschool children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia undergoing chemotherapy with febrile neutropenia. This case was a Thai preschool children boy who diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia undergoing chemotherapy with Febrile neutropenia. Patients are cared for using the nursing process and assessed the health status of patients according to the patient problem.

The results of the case study revealed that preschool children with Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia undergoing chemotherapy with febrile neutropenia. There are important nursing problems that require nursing care, including: assessment of febrile neutropenia, assessment of the level of infection risk, reducing and preventing infection. Nurses who are close to pediatric patients and their families play a very important role.

From the results of the study, the study authors have suggestions for important nursing of preschool children with Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia undergoing chemotherapy with febrile neutropenia are assessment of febrile neutropenia,  assessment of the level of infection risk, reducing and preventing infection including nursing to reduce and prevent infection to prevent and reduce the severity of disease and to promote quality of life for pediatric patients and their families in order to be able to handle the problem and overcome the crisis effectively.
