Guideline for Applying of CIPPiest Model for Evaluating Health Programs

Abstract

  Health problems are a major problem affecting individuals, families, communities and the nation. Therefore, it is an important role for health personnel in developing projects to promote quality of life of general population. The project evaluation is an important step to assess the need for changes during ongoing activities and to determine how effective activity is, and to analyze whether the project meet the needs of recipients or not. The CIPPiest evaluation Model is the most widely used assessment model because of its systematical form and collectively dynamic both quantitative and qualitative data from stakeholders through a variety of methods. The assessment consists of 4 main dimensions: context assessment, input evaluation, process evaluation, and product evaluation, which was later expanded into 4 sub-dimensions for product evaluation, including: impact assessment, effectiveness assessment, sustainability, and transition assessment. Each dimension of the assessment contains details that the user must understand well in order to make the application of the CIPPiest assessment model in the project effectively.
