A study on the management of dormitory cleaning for preventing the spread of the infection in Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Surin

Abstract

          The aims of this study were to determine the management of dormitory cleaning for preventing the spread of the infection and to determine the difference of dormitory cleaning behaviors among the nursing students in different classes. Populations and samples were 175 nursing students in Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Surin in academic year of 2014. Data were collected from self-administered questionnaires. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the findings and One-Way ANOVA was used to determine the difference of dormitory cleaning behaviors among the nursing students in different classes.

        The findings were shown that overall samples satisfied the management of dormitory cleaning for preventing the spread of the infection at mild level (mean = 2.63) in which the satisfaction at planning was highest follow by doing (mean = 2.43, 2.35; respectively) and at act was lowest (mean =2.30). Overall, the mean score on satisfaction toward on management of dormitory cleaning for preventing the spread of the infection among nursing students were not statistically significant difference. For preventing the spread of infection in dormitory, all students can contribution in the management in every step of the management process. By this, nursing students should be raising the awareness of the importance of dormitory cleaning and nursing students should play significant role.
