Publication Ethics

The Journal of Boromrajonani College of Nursing, Surin has established ethical regulations for publishing works in the journal including author ethical responsibilities, editor roles and responsibilities, and reviewer roles and responsibilities. The journal requires that all parties involved in a publication comply with these regulations to ensure the accuracy and trustworthiness of an article. The details are as follows.

Author Ethical Responsibilities

  1. The article to be considered for publication must be new. It has never been published anywhere or has been published by other journals before, and does not submit duplicate manuscripts to other journals.
  2. The article's content must meet the journal's objectives.
  3. Reporting facts arising from research must not distort or provide false information.
  4. Articles must not be plagiarized from the work of other authors.
  5. Authors need to prepare manuscripts using a journal template and follow journal guidelines under “Instructions for preparing manuscripts for publication".
  6. Authors must cite the works of others if those works are used in their articles such as images, tables, etc. and each work cited in the text must appear in the reference list at the end of the article.
  7. Authors must verify the accuracy of all references and follow the journal's requirements.
  8. All authors listed in the article must be individuals who have contributed significantly to the article.
  9. Authors must identify funding sources for the research and/or conflicts of interest in the article and notify to editors.
  10. Authors should not cite scientific papers that have not been read or include them in the reference list; all sources should correctly cite and list in the references properly.
  11. To acknowledge contributors in the acknowledge section, the authors should seek permission from them before the information appears in the article, if possible.
  12. Authors must not report information that deviates from reality and should not be considered fraud, falsification, or fabrication, or report research that is only consistent with the research conclusion.
  13. All research studies that involve human participants and animals as research subjects must obtain research ethical approval from the research ethics committee (Please attach a copy of the certificate). The acceptance of the manuscript is dependent on the decision of the editorial board of the journal.

 Editor Roles and Responsibility

  1. Editors are responsible for determining the quality of articles for publication in the journals and ensuring that articles must not have been previously published in other journals.
  2. Editors must not disclose the information of the author and the reviewer of the article to any other person.
  3. Editors are responsible for considering the publication of research results that have accurate methodology provide credible results and use the research results to decide whether a paper is suitable for publication.
  4. Editors are responsible for selecting research/academic articles for publication after the article evaluation process, based on their importance, newness, clarity, and consistency with the journal's policies.
  5. Editors must not have conflicts of interest with authors and evaluators.
  6. Editors must ensure that the articles are scrutinized for plagiarized content by using a reliable program to ensure that articles published in journals do not plagiarize others' work.
  7. When plagiarism is detected during the evaluation process, editors must suspend the assessment process and contact the lead author for clarification to make the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript for publication.
  8. If editors found plagiarism or fraudulent data in the article, it should be removed. If the author refuses to withdraw the article, the editor can proceed to withdraw the article without the consent of the author. Editors have the right and responsibility for making decisions for publishing the article.

 Reviewer Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Reviewers must not disclose information in the article to other unrelated parties during the period of article evaluation.
  2. If the reviewers have a conflict of interest with the authors such as known as work, prosomal, or other reasons that could bias their opinions of the manuscript, the reviewers should inform the editor and refuse to evaluate the article.
  3. Reviewers should evaluate articles in areas of expertise. If any parts of the article are similar to other works or redundant publications, the reviewers must inform the editor.
  4. Reviewers should identify key research findings and align them with the evaluated article. And if any part of the article is found to be similar or redundant to other works. The article evaluator must also notify the editor.
