กระบวนการพัฒนาความรู้ของนักศึกษาพยาบาลเพื่อสอบขึ้นทะเบียนรับใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพการพยาบาล THE NURSING STUDENT’S KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS FOR NURSING LICENSURE EXAMINATION

     การศึกษาวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการพัฒนาความรู้ของนักศึกษาพยาบาลเพื่อเตรียมสอบขึ้นทะเบียนรับใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพการพยาบาล ผู้ให้ข้อมูลได้จากการเลือกแบบเจาะจงจากวิทยาลัยพยาบาลในเครือข่ายภาคกลาง สังกัดสถาบันพระบรมราชชนก กระทรวงสาธารณสุข จำนวน 3 แห่ง ซึ่งมีผลการประเมินคุณภาพการศึกษาภายในอยู่ในระดับดีมากและผลการสอบเพื่อขึ้นทะเบียนรับใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพการพยาบาลและการผดุงครรภ์ครั้งแรกของผู้สำเร็จการศึกษามากกว่าร้อยละ 70 ประกอบด้วย ผู้บริหารและอาจารย์ผู้สอน รวม 16 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึก วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา

     ผลการศึกษาวิจัยพบว่า สถาบันทั้ง 3 แห่งมีกระบวนการพัฒนาความรู้ของนักศึกษาพยาบาลเพื่อเตรียมสอบ 4 ขั้นตอน คือ 1) การวางแผนเพื่อมุ่งผลสัมฤทธิ์ มีการกำหนดเป้าหมายและจัดทำแผนปฏิบัติการที่ชัดเจน 2) การจัดองค์การที่เอื้อต่อการปฏิบัติงาน โดยกำหนดผู้รับผิดชอบที่ชัดเจนและส่งเสริมให้บุคลากรทุกระดับมีส่วนร่วม 3) การใช้กลวิธีที่หลากหลายเพื่อมุ่งสู่เป้าหมาย ได้แก่ การปลูกฝังทัศนคติที่ดี การเสริมสร้างแรงจูงใจของอาจารย์และนักศึกษา การให้รางวัล การจัดกิจกรรมทบทวนความรู้ การช่วยเหลือนักศึกษาที่มีผลการเรียนต่ำ การจัดสวัสดิการอย่างเพียงพอและเสริมสร้างบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ที่ผ่อนคลาย และการสร้างเครือข่ายเพื่อการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ และ 4) การควบคุมกำกับตามเป้าหมาย ได้แก่ การติดตามให้คำปรึกษา การให้กำลังใจ การประเมินผลอย่างเป็นทางการและไม่เป็นทางการ ผลการศึกษาสะท้อนให้เห็นว่า การพัฒนาความรู้ของนักศึกษาพยาบาลเพื่อเตรียมสอบขึ้นทะเบียนรับใบอนุญาตประกอบวิชาชีพการพยาบาลจำเป็นต้องวางแผนและกำกับติดตามอย่างเป็นระบบ และใช้วิธีการที่หลากหลายสอดคล้องกับความต้องการของผู้เรียน โดยเน้นการมีส่วนร่วมของบุคลากรทุกระดับและนักศึกษา

 Abstract

     This qualitative study aimed to explore the process of nursing student’s knowledge development for nursing licensure examination preparation and associated key success factors. Sixteen participants were purposively recruited from three nursing colleges, in the central part of Thailand, that the internal quality assurance scores were at “very good level” and greater than 70% of newly graduates passed the nursing licensure examination on the first time attempt. The participants consisted of the college administrators and instructors. Data were collected by using in-depth interview and were analyzed by content analysis.

     The findings revealed that: All three nursing colleges applied four steps in preparation their nursing students for nursing licensure examination as follows: (1) planning for goal achievement- setting a goal and clear action plans, (2) managing for supportive organization - assigning personnel responsibility and promoting personnel participation,   (3) using various strategies, such as endorsing positive attitude, promoting instructors’ and students’ motivation, providing awards, tutoring, supporting students with low grade point average, providing sufficient facilities and promoting relaxed learning atmosphere and creating network for knowledge sharing, and (4) monitoring and controlling, including counseling, motivation, and formal and informal evaluation.

These findings reflect that development of nursing students’ knowledge for nursing licensure examination should be well planning and comprehensive monitoring, applying various strategies to meet the students’ needs, and focusing on involvement of all personnel and students.
