ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวันกับระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุไทยในบริบทพื้นที่จังหวัดชัยนาท

การส่งเสริมให้ผู้สูงอายุทุกคนมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีด้วยการมีสุขภาพที่ดี มีความสามารถในการดูแลพึ่งพาตนเองได้นานขึ้นนำไปสู่การพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุโดยสมบูรณ์ การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวัน ระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ และเพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวันกับระดับคุณภาพชีวิตผู้สูงอายุในบริบทจังหวัดชัยนาท กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ผู้สูงอายุที่เข้าร่วมโครงการด้วยความสมัครใจ คัดเลือกโดยการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน จำนวน 628 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้คือ แบบบันทึกข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบประเมินความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวันของผู้สูงอายุ และแบบวัดคุณภาพชีวิตขององค์การอนามัยโลกชุดย่อฉบับภาษาไทย (WHOQOL-BREF-THAI) โดยมีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์อัลฟ่าของครอนบาค ได้ค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.83 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนาในการหาความสัมพันธ์ด้วยค่าไควสแควร์ และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุในจังหวัดชัยนาทมีความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวันโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับพึ่งพาตนเองได้ ร้อยละ 94.11 (Mean=18.56, S.D.=4.08) และมีระดับคุณภาพชีวิตโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ร้อยละ 75.96 (Mean=86.42, S.D.=12.76) สำหรับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวันกับระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุโดยรวมทุกด้าน พบอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (r=0.30, p<.01) และเมื่อพิจารณาในองค์ประกอบรายด้านของคุณภาพชีวิต พบว่า ความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวันของผู้สูงอายุมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับคุณภาพชีวิตทั้งด้านร่างกาย ด้านจิตใจและด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม อยู่ในระดับต่ำอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 (r=0.29, r=0.27, r=0.21 ตามลำดับ) แต่พบมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับด้านสัมพันธภาพทางสังคมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 (r=0.33)
`จากผลการวิจัยนี้ แสดงให้เห็นได้ว่า ความสามารถในการประกอบกิจวัตรประจำวันผู้สูงอายุจังหวัดชัยนาทโดยเฉพาะผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มติดบ้านและกลุ่มติดเตียง ควรได้รับการดูแลส่งเสริมจากครอบครัวและชุมชนท้องถิ่น เพื่อการพัฒนายกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตให้มีศักยภาพมีคุณค่า และผลักดันให้บรรลุตามเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของสหประชาชาติในสภาวการณ์สังคมสูงวัยอย่างสมบูรณ์
