Effect of Herbal Reflexology Shoes on Foot Numbness in Diabetic Patients: A Comparative Study

The purposes of this research were to study the effectiveness of reflexology herbal shoes on foot numbness in diabetic patients and to compare foot numbness in diabetic patients in the group who wore reflexology herbal shoes with those who wore normal shoes. The sample of this study consisted of 68 diabetic patients with foot numbness at least 1 point that met the inclusion criteria and divided the sample into 2 groups, 34 patients each. The research instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The statistical procedures employed included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, analyzed by independent t-test statistic and dependent t-test statistic. The research findings were as follows. The effectiveness of reflexology herbal shoes on foot numbness in diabetic patients pre-trial. and after the mean values for the foot sensory test in diabetic patients were 5.38 and 1.71, indicating a decrease in the level of foot numbness. which indicates that diabetic patients have better symptoms The mean values of the foot sensory tests were compared between before and after the experiment. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference at the 0.01 level.Compare foot numbness in diabetic patients in the group who wore reflexology herbal shoes. Before the experiment, the mean was 5.38 with the normal shoes group. The mean was 5.18. After the first experiment of reflexology herbal shoes group, the mean was 1.71 and after the first experiment of the normal shoe group, the mean was equal to 5.18. The mean value of 5.24 The data showed that before the trial and after the trial, on foot numbness in diabetic patients were significantly different level at the overall at 0.01
