                        This descriptive study aimed to study the symptoms and performance status of cancer patients receiving palliative care in Ubon Ratchathani Cancer Hospital. The samples comprised of 205 cancer patients receiving palliative care admitted to the inpatient unit at Ubon Ratchathani Cancer Hospital. Data were collected through medical records from 1 April to 31 December 2020. The research instruments consisted of (1) personal information sheet, (2) disease and treatment information sheet, (3) Palliative Performance Scale version 2 (PPSV2), and 4) Edmonton Symptom Assessment System (ESAS). Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.


                        The results revealed that the most common physical symptoms were fatigue (31.10%), loss of appetite (25.66%), pain (22.55%), and shortness of breath (19.44%) respectively. Psychological symptoms included body and mind discomfort, accounted for 90.99%. Fatigue was found to be the factors that its prevalence and severity affect the lifestyle of patients the most (43.9%). Regarding performance status, most of the patients’ palliative performance scales were at PPS V2 60% (72.7%) and PPS V2 50% (22.9%), respectively.
