Main Article Content
Abstract
This study was to develop a practice guideline for nursing patients to prevent adverse events from receiving Enoxaparin in internal medicine wards. Chon Buri Hospital uses the concept of William Edwards Deming (PDCA) to operate in 3 phases: Phase 1, the study of problems, situations and operations in caring for patients receiving Enoxaparin; Phase 2, the development of guidelines. and the third phase of the trial to evaluate the use of the guideline The duration of this study June 2021 – August 2021 The target groups were divided into 2 groups: 20 Enoxaparin-treated patients and 18 professional nurses. The instruments used were divided into 2 parts as follows: 1. The instrument used for data collection consisted of: The patient data record form of Enoxaparin-treated patients, the 20-item guideline evaluation form, and the 7-item satisfaction questionnaire received Cronbach's alpha coefficients of .88, and .88, respectively. The tools involved in the use of the guideline are: Nursing Practice Guidelines, which are divided into 2 categories: 1. Principles for safe drug administration 2. Techniques for safe injections. General Data Sheet and Patient Assessment of Adverse Reactions coefficient Alpha Cronbach were 0.9 and 0.88. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics for mean, percentage and standard deviation.
The results of the study found that The use of the guideline consisted of 10 principles for safe drug administration and 10 techniques for safe injections. Patients with adverse reactions from receiving Enoxaparin tended to decrease. The probability of using the guideline was 86.36%. The satisfaction of professional nurses was at a good level.
