การวิจัยกึ่งทดลองแบบกลุ่มเดียววัดผลก่อนและหลังครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิผลของที่นอนยางพาราต่อสภาพผิวหนังบริเวณปุ่มกระดูกในผู้สูงอายุที่มีความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดแผลกดทับในชุมชน อำเภอธัญบุรี จังหวัดปทุมธานี กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้สูงอายุที่มีความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดแผลกดทับ จำนวน 28 คน คัดเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ ที่นอนยางพารา เครื่องมือเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลประกอบด้วย แบบประเมินการใช้นวัตกรรม แบบประเมินสภาพผิวหนังบริเวณปุ่มกระดูก และแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจ มีค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องระหว่างข้อคำถามกับวัตถุประสงค์เท่ากับ 0.77 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.70 กลุ่มตัวอย่างใช้ที่นอนยางพาราเป็นระยะเวลา 4 สัปดาห์ โดยประเมินสภาพผิวหนังก่อนและหลังการทดลอง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและสถิติ paired t-test
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ภายหลังการใช้ที่นอนยางพารา คะแนนสภาพผิวหนังบริเวณปุ่มกระดูกลดลงกว่าก่อนใช้ที่นอนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t = 4.45, p < 0.001) กลุ่มตัวอย่างทุกรายสามารถใช้ที่นอนยางพาราได้อย่างถูกต้อง (ร้อยละ 100) และมีความพึงพอใจโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (M = 4.67, SD = 0.71) ผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่าการใช้ที่นอนยางพารามีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพผิวหนังบริเวณปุ่มกระดูกในผู้สูงอายุที่มีความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดแผลกดทับ และสามารถนำไปใช้ร่วมกับแนวทางการพยาบาลมาตรฐานเพื่อส่งเสริมการป้องกันแผลกดทับในผู้สูงอายุที่ได้รับการดูแลในชุมชน
