COVID-19 Outbreak at Hat Yai district in 2022, the patients were rapidly increasing beyond the hospital's normal system could support. Thus, there was a policy to provide home isolation services for the patients with mild symptoms. The Community Nursing Group, Hat Yai Hospital developed H-A-T-Y-A-I HI model, home isolation nursing services for the COVID-19 patients to keep them safe and stop the outbreak. After the crisis had passed, the research team studied and evaluated this nursing service model using the CIPP model to analyze and use in future outbreak situations. This evaluation research aimed to study and evaluate the nursing services model for home isolation COVID-19 patients. Data were collected using mixed method. Quantitative data were obtained from 60 nurses and 200 home isolation COVID-19 patients using a questionnaire. Qualitative data were obtained from 15 nurse-executives and nurse-practitioners using in-depth interviews and group discussions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and interview interpretation.
Results: The evaluation of home isolation services for COVID-19 patients was found to be at a very good level and be able to safely handle large numbers of patients in a severe outbreak situation. Almost all of the nurses experienced stress from time to time. They also had frequent to regular episodes of burnout increasing from 6 percent to 50 percent. The patients perceived nursing care at a high level and caring for post-COVID-19 symptoms were at a good level
Conclusion: This model is effective and produces good results for the patients and the organization as well as could be a model for implementation.
