Integrating Executive Functions into Surveillance and Promotion of Early Childhood Development through the Adult Learning Program

Abstract

Appropriate development in early childhood is an important foundation in evolving potential that can affect a child’s learning and developing. In the past decade, Thai early childhood had developmental problems, especially the delayed executive function. These problems can be promoted and prevented by nurses who can apply adult learning theory for teachers’ and guardians' learning process.

This article emphasizes on nurses’ role who can provide learning process for teachers and guardians by using the integrating of executive functions with surveillance and promotion of early childhood through adult learning program. This is a guideline for nurses to apply this program for developing learning process. Moreover, teachers and guardians can use this program for basic screening early childhood development, including provide effective activity to promote early childhood development.
