This research and development aimed to: develop a Maneevej exercise multimedia for learning management, compare learning achievements and physical fitness of students before and after receiving the program, and assess the satisfaction with such program. The study was divided into 3 phases: 1) conducting a literature review on Maneevej exercise and the existing multimedia resources, 2) developing the multimedia Maneevej program and tools, and 3) evaluating the program accordingly to the Addie Model. The sample was 30 students in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. The instruments were evaluated by 5 experts, including the multimedia Maneevej exercise program, a satisfaction questionnaire, a physical fitness record form in which Maneevej exercise for 6 weeks (IOC 0.8-1.00), and a learning achievement test (IOC 0.6-1.00, KR-20 0.72). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, mean, standard deviation, and Paired samples t-test.
The 16 minutes multimedia Maneevej exercise program consisted of an introduction, history, meaning, principles of Maneevej, the correct posture in daily life, Maneevej exercises, and related research. Most of the samples were female. They were 19-22 years old. The posttest of the learning achievement was significantly increased at .001 (p<.001). In the post-test of Maneevej exercise, the physical fitness was significantly increased at .001 (p<.001). The overall satisfaction with Maneevej multimedia was at the highest level (M=4.71, SD=0.46).
This study suggests that Maneevej exercises help to promote better learning achievements and physical fitness.
