The Interesting on Health Science Program and the Recognize of Praboromarajchanok Institute in Upper Secondary School Students

Abstract

The descriptive study aims to investigate an interesting on health science program and describe the recognize of Praboromarajchanok Institute in upper secondary school students in academic year 2019. 1,627 high school students were multi-stage sampling in 5 regions of Thailand. Instrument was questionnaire which had Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) ranging from .67 to 1.00 and Reliability of .88. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistics and Chi-square.

    The result shown that the interesting in health science program in upper secondary school students presented at 57.8 percent. The main reason of interested in health science program was which can support them to look after family member and other patient. Moreover, their wanted life and job security. The upper secondary school students in level 5 presented statistic significant (p-value <.001) on the interesting in health science program. The college in both Abhaibhubejhr college of Thai Traditional Medicine Prachinburi and Kanchanabhisek Institute of Medical and Public Health Technology college under Praboromarajchanok institute presented with unrecognize about 60 percent.The appropriate public relation activities to improve the recognition on the Praboromarajchanok Institute and its colleges were provided the information with guidance subject and alumni visit at school. Moreover, guidance by the institute shown statistic significant to encourage the interesting in health science program.     

The higher education should maintain or develop a distinct image to create a competitive market.
