ABSTRACT
The purposes of this study were : 1) to develop and test for efficiency of the learning multimedia about nursing care of anxiety disorder for nursing students, 2) to compare nursing students’ achievement test before and after learning with multimedia and 3) to study students’ satisfaction with learning multimedia. The research design was research and development design and one group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample included 118 second year nursing students in an undergraduate program at Boromarajonani college of nursing, Saraburi, in academic year 2019. Data were collected by using pre-test, exercised, and post-test of learning multimedia. The instruments included : 1) the learning multimedia about nursing care of anxiety disorder, which IOC was .87 2) the 10 items of four choices achievement test, which the Kuder-Richardson20 (KR-20) reliability was .53, and 3) the Satisfaction questionnaire to learning multimedia, which IOC was .83. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistic and paired t-test.
The results showed that 1) the learning multimedia about nursing care of anxiety disorder consisted of Introduction and 5 chapters, included Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Phobic Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. The learning multimedia comprised figure contents, text, sound, animation, 10-15 minutes video, and posttest exercises. The E1/E2 efficiency test of multimedia was 86/88, it was higher than criteria set at 80/80, 2) The comparison of the pretest and posttest mean score to learning multimedia found that the post-test scores significantly higher than pre-test scores at p <.001 level (Mean =7.57 and 8.80 S.D. = 1.25 and 0.89, respectively), 3) The satisfaction toward the learning multimedia about nursing care of anxiety disorder found that nursing students had high satisfaction (Mean = 4.31 .S.D = 0.65).
In conclusion : This research obtained multi media with higher performance than the specified criteria. This multimedia can be used as a learning supplement from a classroom lecture, or as a lesson in self-study of nursing students, especially in practical training.
