Abstract

ABSTRACT

The advancement of information and communication technology in today's society, its impacts effect the way of life both positive and negative aspects for people of all ages in globalization. In particular, adolescents are infused with inflectional information in a multi-channel without boundaries to access online communications in many forms. This makes it easy for teenage boys and girls easier and faster to contact each other that leads to premature sexual problems and causes unwanted teenage pregnancy. This is one of the problems that has had a major negative impact on teens, families, communities, societies, and nations. There are predisposing factors that cause unwanted teenage pregnancy, such as ignorance in the information that is enticing; lacking of knowledge in comprehensive sexuality education; effectiveness of health care system may be not enough. As a result, unwanted teenage pregnancy among Thai adolescents in this borderless world are likely to continue to grow. So the prevention and care for this target group should emphasize on knowing tricks with media literacy at risk for pregnancy; strong family and community in preventing pregnancy; promotion of education and occupation for unwanted teenage pregnancy. In addition, it has national policies and guidelines that are effective in preventing and helping teens with proactive ways.
