The Analysis of Structural Causal Relationship of Factors Influencing on Operational Honesty of Soldiers

Abstract

            This research aimed to study compositional factors and structural causal relationship of factors influencing on operational honesty of soldiers. Quantitative data were collected from soldiers working at Ministry of Deference. For analyzing the compositional factors, the number of participants was specified as over 100 by specific ratio between participant unit and parameters = 20:1 resulting in the total number of 460 participants and collecting data in the total number of 487 people. Research process had 2 phases: phase 1 was to study the structural causal relationship of factors influencing on operational honesty of soldiers; and phase 2 was to confirm the structural causal relationship of factors influencing on operational honesty of soldier. Factor analysis was used to analyze quantitative data and the data were verified by in-depth interviews.

            The results revealed that the response rate of questionnaires were 487 cases. In that numbers, there were commissioned officers 62.63% and non-commissioned officers 37.37%, working as at the administrative levels 20.53% and at the operational levels 79.47%. In addition, most of them finished bachelor degree 62.63% and had 14.74 years of working experience        (SD = 8.196). Regarding the analysis of structural causal relationship of factors influencing on operational honesty of soldiers, there were 2 components, involving 20 indicators needing to follow and 3 indicators needing to refrain for operation.
