Abstract

This descriptive research aimed to study the prevention behavior of coronavirus disease 2019 and factors affecting the prevention behavior of coronavirus disease 2019 among CIQ and network working at the entrance and exit of the country at the border checkpoint Special Economic Zone of Narathiwat Province. The sample consisted of 394 people. The questionnaire consisted of coronavirus disease 2019 knowledge test, attitudetest, social support, perception in the intensity of the coronavirus  disease 2019, perception in the risk related to the coronavirus disease 2019, perception in the benefit related to coronavirus disease 2019, perception in the barriers related to the coronavirus disease 2019. and the prevention behavior of coronavirus disease 2019. Content validity index ranged from .67-1.00. Cronbach’ s alpha reliability of all questionnaires was .870, .960, .946, .932, .850 ,.961 ,.952 and .710 respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and stepwise multiple regression analysis.

               The results of the study showed that most of the sample groups had the prevention behavior of coronavirus disease 2019 at the highest level ( ( = 4.53, SD= 0.88) and factors affecting had the prevention behavior of coronavirus disease 2019 were gender (p-value= 0.038), social support (p-value < 0.001), perception in the risks related to the coronavirus disease 2019 (p-value < 0.001)
