Abstract

This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to explore knowledge, attitudes and Tuberculosis (TB) infection prevention behaviors among health personnel working at Nathom Hospital, Nakhon Phanom Province.  Data were collected by questionnaires from 91 participants during October - December 2018. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, One-way Analysis of Variance.

The results showed that most participants had their knowledge, attitudes and TB infection prevention behaviors at a high level of 64.84%, 100.00% and 90.11%, respectively. When comparing the differences of participants’ TB infection prevention behaviors and participants’ knowledge, there were not significant (p>0.05).

It could be suggested that health-related agencies should plan for providing the continuous operational training courses in order to improve knowledge and encourage attitudes linked to prevent TB infection of health personnel.
