Factors Relating to Success of Evangelism in the Schools under the Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand Nakhon Pathom Province
Abstract
The purpose of this correlational research was to study the factors relating to the success of evangelism in the schools under the foundation of the Church of Christ Thailand in Nakhon Pathom Province. The populations were 38 Christian staff in three schools. The research instruments used to collect data were three experts verified the content validity and consistency of the research instruments, the IOC between 0.66-1.00. The reliability of the coefficient of Cronbach alpha was 0.91. The research data were analyzed by contingency coefficient. The findings of this research were as follows: The factors relating to success of evangelism in the schools were 1) a culture of godly leadership, 2) the centrality of the word of God and 3) compelling Christian community had correlation to the achievement of evangelism in the schools under the Church of Christ in Thailand in Nakhon Pathom province at statistically contingency coefficient level between 0.30 to 0.50. Other strong undertones mentioned in a life transforming walk with Jesus and a culture of godly leadership are the key factors to achievement of evangelism in the schools.
Based on the findings of this research, the researcher suggest, that the schools under the Church of Christ in Thailand in Nakhon Pathom province should encourage all Christians to show how to live a Christian life that has been changed by Jesus Christ. The staffs in the schools should take heed to letter of James 2:26 which says "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."
