Discriminant Factors of Decision to Use New Private Hospital Services at Uttaradit of Thailand

Abstract

The purpose of this descriptive research was to identify variables discriminating in decision to use new  private hospital services which will open hospital of health care Customers in health care consumers Uttaradit Province in Thailand. The sample (Response) was 223 health care consumers at Uttaradit Province selected by non-probability sampling-accidental sampling. Data were collected using questionnaire, content analysis, depth interview and questionnaire. The questionnaire was examined for it content validity by the panel of experts. Its Cronbach's alpha coefficient (Reliability) was 0.932. The      data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, mul-tiple discriminant analysis and content analysis. The findings of this study were as follows: three variables identified as discriminating variables for decision to use a new private hospital services were reimbursement and suggestion of intimate factors. For private hospitals. two variables were  identified: quality of media. appropriate service charge. and convenience location. The number of 70.1 percentage of original grouped cases correctly classified. The suggestion of this study: nursing  administrators in Governmental and private hospitals should use these finding to improve their health care service quality which focus at health care service quality components of people in area.
