Positive Psychological Therapy in Schizophrenic Patients with Depression: Case Study Report

Abstract

This study reports the application of the well-being program applying the concept of positive psychology to reduce depression symptoms of schizophrenic patients. The case study was a schizophrenic patient admitted for inpatient care at Somdej Chaopraya Institute of Psychiatry between March 2021 and April 2021. 5 sessions of group therapy. Three instruments, the psychiatric symptom assessment (BPRS), the general information questionnaire, and the Depression Assessment in schizophrenic patients. Evaluated before and after treatment program. Study report from case analysis. The results of case analysis were found that after therapy with the application of the well-being program applying the concept of positive psychology. Schizophrenic patients had lower scores of depressions compared to before treatment.
