Reflection: Concept and Application in Courses of Learning
Main Article Content
Abstract
Reflection is one of the methods that teachers can apply to theory and practice, so that students can practice and develop the processes of systems thinking and critical thinking based on evidence-based practice. Reflection helps them to link knowledge from theory, so they can practice effective problem-solving. This article aimed to show the significance of reflection, types of reflection, a model of reflection, guidelines for developing reflection, and factors for success in using reflection in education. The study applied reflection following Gibbs’ model among second-year students who were practising in a fundamental nursing practicum and offered recommendations for using reflection in courses of learning.
