Abstract
Decompression sickness is common in recreational divers who dove beyond no
decompression limits according to current dive tables. We report a patient who got
decompression sickness from a pressure test in hyperbaric chamber which was one of the
recruitment processes of caisson workers in Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) Blue Line Project.
Depth-Time exposure is only 30% of No-Decompression limit. Cases from such minor
exposure are rare if no other co-factors exist. We describe the diagnosis, management, the
result of the treatment and also recommended procedure for future pressure test.
