Abstract

Anal pain and rectal bleeding are common presenting problems of patients who visit the colorectal clinic.
Common causes are hemorrhoids, anal ffiissures, and rectal cancer. This is a case report of a Thai male patient,
78 years old, with anal pain and rectal bleeding. The cause of the bleeding was a perianal mucinous adenocarcinoma,
which is a rare clinical ffiinding. Signs, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of this disease are reviewed and
discussed in this case report.
