Abstract

Second Life® a virtual online program which is popular among the new generation. It can facilitate
learning in many instructional areas. Authentic experience is required in nursing education, nevertheless there are
some limitations in clinical contexts which don’t support learning completely. This article presents the background
of Second Life®, requirements for learning experiences in nursing education, examples of how to implement
Second Life® in areas of education especially relevant to nursing ; moreover, instructions how to utilize Second
Life® in Thai nursing educational contexts and recommendations are included.
