Abstract

This study develops a methodology for managing alumni databases in higher education institutions through automated data updating capabilities. The investigation improves existing alumni information by integrating current data from Facebook and LinkedIn while incorporating geographical dimensions. The study utilized 1,000 graduates from undergraduate and graduate programs at a case study institution over a 10-year period.

Performance evaluation revealed complete data accuracy (100%) and improved information completeness by 95.50% with statistically validated reliability while maintaining excellent user-friendliness. Results demonstrated that over 40% of alumni concentrate in economic and industrial centers, with science and technology graduates showing significantly higher urban clustering compared to social sciences graduates (p<0.001). The comprehensive insights provide substantial benefits for alumni relations, particularly in creating targeted activities such as fundraising initiatives and part-time course development. The system's 12-hour automatic updating ensures data currency while supporting strategic planning for alumni engagement based on geographical and professional distribution patterns.
