Abstract

RE Management Computer Program was introduced to solve routine problems in the workplace and developed from Microsoft Access 2010. This program was designed and developed into 5 modules including Table, Query, Form, Report, and Macro to collect the data of research instruments and devices. All database includes purchase order history, repair history and evaluation. This program was created to systematically collect the contact information of the company we worked with in the past, and to be compatible with the local area network of the research office. To evaluate the program efficacy, 11 staff from the research office voluntarily participated this project and used this program for one month before answering the questionnaire. The result showed that RE Management Computer Program was beneficial for staff in several aspects; faster access and search data information, accuracy in the data report. It also diminished the time-consuming in work procedure, and decreased the number of paper-consuming. It was also convenient for several staff to use this program at the same time. The evaluation of using this program indicates the “good” level of satisfaction (mean=4.50, SD=0.56).
