Development of Management System for Document Graduation Online Faculty of Sciences, Prince of Songkla University

Abstract

          Research, Graduate Studies and Academic Services Unit of Faculty of Science offers services to support the management of research, postgraduate students, and academic service. The service and process involves postgraduate students mainly process based on paper form which can cause the delay of processing document and it is difficult to track the progress of the documents. In addition, the paper based process consumes a high amount of paper in the whole process. The online system management can reduce the processing time and paper consumption. Also, it is easy to monitor the progress of the processing documents.  The objective of this study is to develop an online application for management postgraduate student document of Faculty of Sciences, Prince of Songkla University. The system provides the functions of submission documents, approval of documents, and quality control of processing documents with the Faculty and University regulations. The evaluation of system assessed by asking the opinion of staffs and students who use the system via questionnaire. The evaluation results from the users represented good level of efficiency to the overall features of the system and good level of satisfaction to the overall features of the system.
