Development of a District Health Board Operational Model at Srisomdet District

Abstract

Purposes : To study the operating model and evaluate the health board operation model at Srisomdet District, Roi Et Province.

Study design : Action Research.

Materials and Methods : This research applied the Kemmis and McTaggart concept which consists of 4 steps: 1 Planning 2) Action 3) Observation and 4) Reflection. To be used in developing a model for implementing projects that are problematic in the area. Data were collected using a questionnaire developed through a workshop process and analyse data by using descriptive statistics and content analysis.

Main findings : The development of health board model for improving the quality of life in Srisomdet District consists of 1) studying the context situation of the community 2) Establishment of a district level of health board development committee Sub-district level and village level 3) Setting up meetings to determine annual development issues and cooperation agreement (MOU) 4) Driving operations in the area according to the model for implementing each project, including developing the knowledge potential of working groups, leaders, and networks, and 5) Continuously monitoring the results of operations, exchange knowledge and evaluated with UCCARE.

Conclusion and recommendations : Development of operating models to improve quality of life It must be developed by creating community participation to manage the problem in area. To Promoting continuous knowledge in every level people. If operations of the model are continuously, it will cause a comprehensive and truly beneficial for the people in the area.
