Abstract

Purposes : To study nursing practices and barrier to prevention pneumonia from using ventilator for nursing in Roi Et Hospital.

Study design : This research is a descriptive with data collected in the sample only once December 2023. The population used in research these are nursing personnel with experience care ventilator for 180 cases.

Materials and Methods : The collection research results study involved data the questionnaires obtained from the practice nurse 180 case, using care ventilators of 3 parts: practices nursing to prevention pneumonia from using ventilator and barriers to preventing pneumonia from using a ventilator.

Main findings : It was found that the sample group were nurses using ventilators of 180 case. It found to have age 26-30 years (41.11%), work experience 1-3 years (47.78%), training experience (71.11%) One trained time (86.72%) The most practical was found to be for NG feeding (95.55%), hands hygiene (87.77%), mouth care (84.44%), Ventilator (74.38%), suction (73.33%), and weaning (60.44%). The most common obstacles in practice aspect, management aspect (78.46%) and it found that the least aspect, Personnel aspect (39.70%) and Support aspect (49.92%).

Conclusion and recommendations : The results study that nurses should develop skills and experience caring  patients using prevent ventilators and continuous infections among patients using ventilators.
