Development of caring for acute ischemic myocardial infarction patients in Suwannaphum Hospital Roi-Et

Purpose :To  study the development of guideline for acute myocardial infarction in Suwannaphum Hospital Roi-Et

Design : . research and development

Materials and Methods : The sample group consisted of 132 patients with acute myocardial infarction that was visited emergency room of Suwannaphum Hospital. The research instrument have 2 parts: general information and results of practical caring for patients with acute myocardial infarction, which has been verified directly by specialist. The data were collected from the electronic database of the HosXp program. Data were collected from October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2018. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics used percentage, mean and standard deviation and inferential statistics used Independent t-test.

Main findings: The results of the development of guideline care for acute myocardial infarction patients in 2018  door to refer period were significantly reduced. Door to EKG door to needle, Onset to needle was not significantly different in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Comparison of the results of care for patients with acute ischemic heart disease in 2017 and 2018, Door to EKG, Door to Needle, Onset to Needle were not different.

Conclusion and recommendations: physicians and nurses to training on STEMI and the used of Streptokinase in emergency nurse and inpatient nurse once a year, to have screening knowledge and confidence in  using Streptokinase. Chronic disease nurse and community health care nurse should be educated about AMI disease and EMS system. And in HT, IHD, DM patients and relative should be educated about symptoms of acute myocardial infarction as well.
