Development of Operational on Hospital Food Safety Udon Thani Province

Abstract

Purposes : To lesson learned on operational on hospital food safety Udon Thani Province.

Study design : Action research

Materials and Methods : 33 of key informants were involved in implementation of operational on hospital food safety policy. We were collected it using a questionnaire and questions for interviews, and analyzed the data using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and content analysis.

Main findings : Results of lessons learned a guidelines for operating a food safety hospital in Udon Thani province were consisted of 6 steps: (1) setting and announcing policies “Food Safe Hospital” by administrators and public relations both within and outside the health network (2) Appoint a “Food Safe Hospital” working group (3) Create an action plan and put the plan into practice ( 4) Select, prepare standards, and conduct inspections. 5) Develop personnel potential. And health networks and (6) continuously supervise, inspect and evaluate.

Conclusion and recommendations : The results of this research resulted in operational guidelines that were appropriated to  context of area. Therefore, such guidelines should be put into practice in order to achieve objectives.
