Development and Evaluation of Nursing Practice Guideline for Initial Assessment of Multiple Injury Patients at Emergency and Forensic Room, Nonghan Hospital

Purposes : To development and evaluate of nursing practice guideline for initial assessment of multiple injury patients at emergency and forensic Room.
Study design : Development research.
Materials and Methods : 34 of participants were consisted of a multidisciplinary team, registered nurse and emergency medical staff and multiple injury patients. Data were collected by using questionnaires. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
Main findings : 1) Nursing practice guideline for initial condition assessment for patients with multiple injury patients were consisted of 9 sections; (1) Recording of general information and vital signs (2) SAMPLE (3) Primary survey (4) secondary survey (5) Assessment of local injuries (6) Investigation (7) Diagnosis (8) Management และ (9) Progress note, and 2) The results of nursing practice guideline evaluation were found to be easy overall, 97.0%. Most registered nurses were able to follow the nursing practice guidelines as a whole, representing 95.6%, and a total of 15 injured patients receiving treatment in the accident and emergency patient department.
Conclusion and recommendations : The results of this research indicated that the developed nursing practice guidelines It can actually be applied to patients with multiple Injury patient.
