ผลของการพัฒนารูปแบบการดูแลผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง แบบสหสาขาวิชาชีพ โรงพยาบาลเจ้าพระยาอภัยภูเบศร (Effects of a Multidisciplinary Developmental Care Model in Patients with Stroke at Chao Phya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital)

บทคัดย่อ

This research is a quasi-experimental research design in the same group. The purpose is to study Theresult This quasi-experimental research design aimed to examine the effects of multidisciplinary developmentalcare model in patients with stroke at Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr, Prachinburi Province, Thailand. Purposivesampling was used to recruit participants including 40 patients with stroke, 25 multidisciplinary health careproviders, and 40 primary caregivers. A structured questionnaire with four sets of questions was used. Questionsconsisted of 10 general information, 10 patients’ daily life activities, eight patients’ needs assessment, and sixcapability and skill of primary caregivers. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with mean, standarddeviation, and independent t-test.The results revealed as follows: 1) The majority of participants were male (55%) and aged 71-80years(40%). 2) The mean score of daily life activities after the program (x= 13.60, SD = 5.16) wassignificantly higher than those before participated in the program (x = 9.48, SD =6.97) at p- value < .05. 3)The mean score of patients’ need in the care and rehabilitation after the program (x=12.02, SD =2.02) wassignificantly lower than those before participated in the program ( x= 16.15, SD =2.02) at p- value < .05.4) The mean score of capability and skills of caregivers after the program ( x= 11.68, SD = .764) wassignificantly higher than those before participated in the program (x= 6.30, SD =2.21) at p- value < .05. Theresults of study show the benefits of using multidisciplinary developmental care model on patients with stroke.
