บทคัดย่อ

The study was a quasi-experimental research nursing model on Disease Control of families with diabetes
mellitus. This study applied the concept of family nursing with chronic illnesses: Khon Kaen model.1 The subjects were persons with diabetes mellitus who had the level of HbA1c 7 mg/dl3 in 2018 and their family. The sample group divided into 2 groups: experimental and control group. Each group consisted of 29 person.The experimental group was received the Khon Kaen model for 4 weeks. The control group was received usual nursing care. The tools were personal information interviewing and practical interview form for diabetics management of disease control and complication prevention of diabetes mellitus person and their family with the reliability of the tool the diabetic interview form was .794 and that of the family was .932 . The intervention and data interview was performed between July and September 2019. Datas were analyzed by using descriptive statistics in reference to distance including pair Test, independent Test, chi-square, and Mann Whitney U test. The results shown that the means of practice for management of disease control and complication prevention of diabetes mellitus persons and their family in experimental group were significantly different from the control group (p<.05). Moreover, mean of blood sugar level of the experimental group was significantly different from the control group (P<.05). Thus, this study Khon Kaen model could be used as a guideline for control disease of diabetes mellitus persons to control blood sugar levels and prevent diabetes complications
