คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุชาติพันธุ์ จังหวัดเชียงราย Quality of life of the Elderly Ethnic in Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The descriptive research aimed to describe the Quality of life among the Elderly Ethnic in Chiang Rai Province. The sample consisted of 408 Elderly Ethnic. The research instruments consisted of demographic data questionnaire, WHOQOL-BREF-THAI questionnaires and in-depth interview from focus group. Data were collected during November, 2016 to July, 2017. In addition, the data of Quality of life were analyzed by using descriptive statistic.  A content analysis was performed to examine qualitative information.

                   The results revealed that the most of the Elderly were female (56.10%), age between 60-69 years old (75.70%), overall Quality of life was moderate level (x̄ = 85.47, S.D.= 11.63). When considered aspect, that of physical   (X̄ = 22.70, S.D. = 3.67), psychological (X̄ = 20.58, S.D. = 3.52), social relationship (X̄ = 10.96, S.D. = 2.32) and environmental (X̄ = 24.32, S.D. = 4.51) were at the moderate level.

                The study findings could be utilized as the baseline data for the plan promote Quality of life of the Elderly Ethnic in Chiang Rai Province for increase Quality of life.
