Quality of work life (QWL) is an important component of overall quality of life. Poor QWL may adversely affect individuals’ physical and mental well-being. This cross-sectional predictive study aimed to examine the level of QWL among registered nurses working in Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals in Health Region 2 and to identify factors influencing their QWL. The study included the entire population of 300 registered nurses working in Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals in Health Region 2. Data were collected using a questionnaire assessing factors influencing QWL and the level of QWL. The two sections of the instrument had content validity indices of 0.80 and Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of .97 and .96, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Overall QWL was at a high level (=3.66,SD= 0.76). The stepwise multiple regression model was statistically significant, F(7, 292) = 98.794, p < .001, and explained 69.6% of the variance in QWL (R²=0.703, adjusted R²=0.696). Seven factors significantly predicted QWL: personal life conditions (B=0.202, 95% CI [0.141, 0.263], p<.001), policies and administration (B=0.140, 95% CI [0.073, 0.207], p<.001), relationships with supervisors (B=0.117, 95% CI [0.052, 0.182], p<.001), advancement (B=0.114, 95% CI [0.043, 0.185], p< .01), responsibility (B=0.099, 95% CI [0.032, 0.166], p< .01), nature of work (B=0.096, 95% CI [0.025, 0.167], p< .01), and relationships with colleagues (B=0.064, 95% CI[0.007, 0.121], p< .05). These findings suggest that work–life balance, appropriate organizational policies and administrative systems, and supportive relationships with supervisors are important determinants of QWL among registered nurses in Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals.
