Factors Relating to Ability of Health Impact Assessment among Personnel of the Local Government Organizations in Phatthalung Province

Abstract
The purposes of this survey study were: 1) to study the preparedness of health impact assessment of local government organizations; 2) to examine the work ability of the personnel and; 3) to identify the factors relating to their work ability. The study conducted by interviewing 96 personnel in 48 local government organizations in Phatthalung province. The data was collected during September 2016-July 2017. The statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation. Results showed that; 1) most personnel were female (63.12%) and aged between 35-44 years (50.00%). Most of them (60.41%) had worked for more than 5 years. In overall opinion, the availability of the health impact assessment of local government organizations was found to at the mederate level; (2) the level of opinion about the factors in the performance of personnel was at the very good level (3.58±0.39); and (3) the personnel factors, the work environment factors, team working, and career advancement were significantly related to the work ability at the 0.05 level.
