The Satisfaction of the Community Leaders to the Social Responsibility of Business Organizations in Map Ta Phut Municipality, Muang District, Rayong Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study : 1) personal characteristics that affected the satisfaction of the community leaders to the social responsibility of business organizations in the Map Ta Phut municipality; and 2) the relationship between corporate social responsibility activities of business organizations in the dimension of good governance in the aspects of economy, society, environment and the satisfaction of community leaders in the Map Ta Phut Municipality. The studied population was 823 community leaders in the Map Ta Phut Municipality which 270 samples were purposively selected. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The contents was validity verified by the item-objective congruency (IOC) index which consisted of 3 parts : 1) personal characteristics : gender, age, educational level, occupation and position; 2) satisfaction of the community leaders to the activities of social responsibility; and 3) opinions on problems, obstructions and suggestions for social responsibility improvements. The reliability was tested by using the analysis of the Cronbach’s Alpha Coeficient which was 0.916. The statistical analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-Square Test and Spearman’s Rank Correlation Coeficient. The research findings were as follows : 1) personal characteristics : gender, age, education level, position had satisfaction for the social responsibility of business organization at the middle level; and 2) the relationship between corporate social responsibility activities of business organizations in dimension of good governance in the aspects of economy, society and environment had high level satisfaction of the community leaders.
