Readiness of Health Care Management among Hypertensive Patients in Health Promoting Hospital, Plaipraya District, Krabi Province

Abstract
The objective of this research was to analyze readiness of health care management among hypertensive patients in the Health Promoting Hospitals, Plaipraya district, Krabi province. Purposive sampling was employed to achieve 32 heath personnel and 39 hypertensive patients. Data were compiled with self-administered questionnaire and interviewing form. Quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and content analysis, correspondingly.
The contextual results were health personnel accepted and perceived to the patient referral policy (53.1%) whilst hypertensive patients expressed to the high trustworthiness (51.3%). Input factors : ninety percent of registered nurse had 3-5 years’ work experience in hypertensive treatment, provided the service without using practice guideline 53.1%, knowledge level of hypertensive treatment were moderate 56.2%, insufficient manpower and medical instrument 75% and 56.3%, respectively. Process factors : all of health personnel were satisfied with services process at the high level, the participation of service networking was at the moderate level 50%. Outcome factors: hypertensive patients had a proper behavior 71.8%, they were satisfied with overall services at the high level 64.1%. Problems and obstacles were insuffcient in academic support, medical instruments, and multidiscipline professionals support from community hospital
In conclusions, health promoting hospital should be supported for personnel readiness, medical supplies and health service participaton in a contracting unit of primary care level.
