Knowledge, Attitudes and Employment of Primary Care Quality Development in the Sub – District Health Promoting Hospital, Chumphon Province

Abstract
This cross - sectional descriptive research aimed to describe knowledge, attitudes and employment of the primary care quality development in the sub-district health promoting hospital, Chumphon Province by cross-sectional study. Data collected using self-administered questionnaire with content validity and relaiability. Study population was 359 health care workers and all of them were studied. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis.
The results revealed that most of the health care workers were female, graduated in bachelor degree, have been trained to improve the quality of primary care network and visited for empowerment assessment. Overall knowledge level for the primary care network development was high; the highest was the service system, followed by the strategic planning. Overall attitude was at the high level and compliance with the primary care development operation with overall scores were at the high level. In terms of the aspect, the highest score was service system, followed by the target population and stakeholders focusing. Problems and obstacles encountered in analytical skills and information management including with the adequacy of supplies and personnel to the task. In conclusion, provincial executives should focus on human resource development especially in analytical skills and knowledge management based on the empirical information which provided from health services and support
service’s resources with the networks in order to develop a learning organization.
