Self-Care Behaviors of the Diabetes Elderly with Complications of Kidney Disease, Phaisalee District, Nakorn- Sawan Province

Abstract
The purposes of this descriptive research were to study self-care behaviors of the diabetes elderly with complications of kidney disease
in Phaisalee District, Nakorn- Sawan province. The samples were 420 diabetics people with complications of kidney disease. Whereas 183
people from the samples were choosen with simple random sampling by the lottery list and determine the sample size of the open square
of Crazy Morgan and tools used in this study was a questionnaire developed. A value of 0.93 collected between October 2014 and March 2015
were analyzed by the frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation.
The study found that elderly subjects were female, aged 60-69 years (70.5), average age 69 years, primary education (62.3 %), unemployed (65.6 %), monthly income of families below 5,000 Self-Care Behaviors of the Diabetes Elderly with Complications of Kidney Disease, Phaisalee District,
Nakorn- Sawan Province. baht (32.3 %) by family income, minimum 600 baht and maximum 42,000 baht in revenue but not suffcient. the remaining (82.5 %) were single family collected (69.4 %), two number of family members (28.4%). The overall self-care behaviors were high and moderate level with 50.3 and 49.7 %, respectively. Behaviors of diet control were moderate level (80.3 %). Behaviors of self-care exercise were moderate level (65.6 %). Self-care behaviors of smoking were high level (78.1 %) and low self-care behaviors and drug use. (94.5 %) were moderate. The results of this study can be used as background information in orientation behavior.
