Abstract

This research aimed to study the level of participation with The Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) and compare personal factors and participation care in chronic heart failure patients. The sample was 345 VHVs. Selected through multi-stage sampling. The research instruments were validated and has a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.85. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, and ANOVA analyzed comparisons.
The results revealed that, first the overall participation care of VHVs in chronic heart failure patients all four aspects was moderate level (M = 3.11, S.D. = 1.09). Ranked by scores, implementation had the highest score (M = 3.33, S.D. = 1.05), planning (M = 3.12, S.D. = 1.06), resource management (M = 3.01, S.D. = 1.15), and evaluation ( M = 2.99, S.D. = 1.14). Second, VHVs with different education levels, incomes, work durations, and experience of care in chronic heart failure patients showed significantly different participation in care in chronic heart failure patients across all four aspects at the .05 level.
Recommendations: Health organizations can utilize this data to promote and support the participation care of VHVs in Chronic heart failure patients, ensuring comprehensive participation at all to improve the quality of life with chronic heart failure patients.
