Acceptance and self-defense behavior of people in the area to establish a cohort ward isolation building, Somdet Phra Sangharaja Chao Krommaluang Jinavaralongkorn (Vasana) Hospital, Nakhon Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province during the COVID-19 Outbreak.

Abstract

         This research is a cross-sectional descriptive study. The objectives were to study resource Acceptance of people living in the area of the isolation building for infectious patients (Cohort ward), Somdet Phra Sangharaja Chao Krommaluang Jinavaralongkorn (Vasana) Hospital Nakhon Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and to study the level of self-defense behavior against COVID-19 infection of people in Nakhon Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The data were collected by using questionnaire on the agreement of people in the area of isolation building for infectious patients (Cohort ward) establishment and the questionnaire on the level of self-defense behavior against COVID-19 infection of people in Nakhon Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. In order to study the above topics, the data were collected from the meeting documents and the operation reports. The samples consisted of 1,060 people, the questionnaires returned from 990 people (93.40 percent). The computer program using descriptive statistics was used to statistically analyze data which are distribution of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and content analysis.

         The results of the study showed that the establishment of the isolation building for infectious patients (Cohort ward), Somdet Phra Sangharaja Chao Krommaluang Jinavaralongkorn (Vasana) hospital Nakhon Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province  People in the area agreed to establish the isolation building for infectious patients (Cohort ward), Somdet Phra Sangharaja Chao Krommaluang Jinavaralongkorn (Vasana) achieved at a high level, an average score of 2.90 ( x =2.90, S.D.=0.32). The results of the study also showed that the self-defense against coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) infection of the samples group were at high level, an average score of 2.98 (x=1.98, S.D.=0.16). 97.78 percent of people have self-defense behavior against Infection to corona virus 2019 (COVID-19).
